Weleda Haemorrhoidal Ointment helps relieve the discomfort of external haemorrhoids (enlarged varicose veins in the mucous membrane inside or just outside the rectum - also called piles).

Haemorrhoids produce varying degrees of pain, feelings of pressure, itching, irritation and a palpable mass. In women, the single most common cause is pregnancy.

Ingredients

Aesculus (Horse chestnut): venous tonic helps tone the circulation system in venous congestion by improving the blood flow in varicose veins and haemorrhoids.
Hamamelis (Witch Hazel) - its chemical make-up tones blood vessels, improving haemorrhoids and varicose veins.
Borago (Borage) helps relieve venous congestion.
Calendula (Marigold) improves varicose veins and haemorrhoids.
Equisetum (Horsetail) is astringent and anti-haemorrhagic (due to Silica content).
Essential oil of Rosemary has a stimulating and toning effect on blood circulation.

Directions

Apply a small amount once a day in the evening, or as directed by your health care professional. Can be used more often if needed.
