Folic acid is a water-soluble B Vitamin and member of the B Complex. Folic acid intake is important for pregnant women and helps promote heart health. Folic acid helps maintain healthy levels of homocysteine by helping convert homocysteine into methionine. In addition, it plays a significant role in the health of red blood cells, and helps support a healthy nervous system.

The folic acid found in most supplements and fortified foods contain a synthetic form of folate which must first be converted to its active form by the body before it can be used. This conversion takes place in several steps and some people have a reduced ability to convert folic acid to its active form.

Metafolin (calcium-L-methylfolate) does not need prior conversion because it is bioidentical to the bio-active form. This means that it is already in the right form for your body to use.

Folate (as calcium-L-methylfolate as Metafolin) 400mcg
Other Ingredients: Bulking Agents (mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose), Anti-caking Agents (vegetable stearic acid, silicon dioxide, vegetable magnesium stearate), Cellulose Gum.

Suggested use:
As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1)  tablet one to two times daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
